FAQs ( Click questions to see answers )

Question: Why am I unable to connect?

Answer: By default our server only allows FTP connections in passive mode. Active mode is not allowed. Most FTP clients are set to use passive mode by default, however you may need to configure this in your application.

Question: How do I allow my ftp clients to see hidden files?

Answer: By default files that start with a "." such as .htaccess are hidden files. Although most ftp clients will automatically show these files, if you have issues you can follow the instructions in this Parallels KnowledgeBase Article.

Question: Are there any file size limits for each file uploaded via FTP or SFTP?

Answer: No, there is no file size limit for FTP or SFTP. However when uploading large files you will want to make sure you use a FTP application that offers a resume feature, as it is not uncommon for hiccups to occur when uploading large files, or having a connection extended for a large time period. You can find a list of FTP/SFTP applications below.
